Library†Media Center
We're here to help you!

Our Mission is to provide a welcoming environment that encourages students†to become successful readers and effective users of information.

Students may use the library anytime they wish, in addition to their regularly scheduled class, if they have a pass and sign in.

Students may check out up to three books for a period of two weeks, books may be renewed for another two weeks.

No fines are charged for overdue books, but lost books must be paid for or replaced.

We offer a number of reading programs, book fairs, author visits, and much more throughout the year. See you at the library!

Library daily hours are from 7:45 AM - 3:15 PM.

Welcome!
Welcome to new and returning students and parents to Gayle Middle Schoolís Library. My name is Nathan Sekinger and I am the librarian here at Gayle. The library assistant, Denise Wallace, and I are looking forward to working both within the library and in the classroom to promote reading throughout the school and helping you with all your research needs.

Author Michael Northrop at Gayle
Author, Michael Northrop is coming to Gayle Middle School on Monday, March 30th, 2015. He will be discussing some of his exciting books such as Trapped, Surrounded by Sharks, Plunked and his new Scholastic series, Tombquest. All seventh and eighth graders will be attending the visit throughout the day and sixth graders can elect to attend. We are showing who is reading the books with some great displays in our library. If you are interested in purchasing a copy of one of his books, the library will have them on sale until 3/30/15. See the order form attached at the bottom of the page.

Find T Benton Gayle's link and you will be able to see our offerings. You can also download the free App on your mobile devices, at the Apple App store (for iPod, iPhone, or iPad) or at the Google Play store (Android tablets, Android phones, newer Nook and Kindle). The App, "Follett Destiny Quest" is free and allows you to browse our catalog. You will be asked to enter the IP: 12.171.93.63 Students can log in using their log ins for computers at Gayle and will be able to access their own accounts, place books on hold, share their comments, and check out ebooks.
